'Smite And Ignite', A Metal Album By Fictional Band Pentakill From The Video Game Developer

Killing all five members of the opposing team within a few seconds of one another in League of Legends is such an impressive feat that it has its own name: "pentakill." Like many awesome League plays, it's also old hat by pro players' standards. In 2011, Jorn released his second live album with footage from the concert of the 2010 Sweden Rock Festival, the album was called Live in Black 12 Also in 2011, he was a guest on female singer Amanda Somerville 's first metal project Trillium singing on the vocal duet track 'Scream It'.

Smite and Ignite is a metal album by the fictional band Pentakill from Riot Games , the developer of the video game League of Legends The band features a series of characters from the video game, and the album features songs based and named on items from it as well.

You can download their full album free from Riot, and enjoy hit head-banging tracks like Ohmwrecker”, Deathfire Grasp”, and Last Whisper” for as long as your blown, metalloid minds can handle. JL: I'm a terrible League of Legends” player, but back in the day I was pretty good at Space Invaders,” Ms. Pacman,” Donkey Kong Jr.” and Street Fighter.” Then around 20 years later I joined my kids playing the great Super Mario” and other various Nintendo and PlayStation games.

The video, you'll notice something that makes it seem as though there's a chance we might be getting some additional Pentakill skins for other champions besides the five listed above. With the exception of a show for the League of Legends Brazilian Championship, many believed the band would simply fade into obscurity in the game's long and storied history.

Billed as the fictional land of Valoran's most famous rock band, the group is fronted by the demonic Karthus, joined by guitarist Mordekaiser, keyboardist Sona, bass player Yorick, drummer Olaf, and recently added golden warrior goddess Kayle on vocals.

Karthus, Sona, Mordekaiser, Yorick, and Olaf are all due newer variations of their Pentakill skins and since this new album is already looking to be darker, hopefully, they'll be even more metal-inspired than before. Behind the scenes, the songs on Smite & Ignite were created by a rotating cast of professional metal musicians, including Jørn Lande (Jorn, Beyond Twilight, Masterplan) and ZP Theart (Skid Row, Dragonforce), as well as by the music composition and production team at League of Legends' parent company, Riot Games.

Yesterday the band released their very first music video for the track Mortal Reminder ,” showing the band in action for the first time outside of the video game itself, making it the third single off of their upcoming album Pentakill II: Grasp of the Undying.

Anyone familiar with League of Legends may have heard of the "Pentakill Skins" - a collection of skins for Karthus, Olaf, Sona, Mordekaiser and Yorick that transform them into the fictional heavy metal band of the same time. It was executed in the lovely Riot's way and have a beautiful SFX and VFX in it. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves the Metal genre, even if they never played League of Legends at all.
